The Meme of Four

Yes, another meme, wherein I am afforded the exhilerating opportunity to talk about MYSELF, and know that others will be GLUED to their monitors with RAPTURE-glue. Vanity, thy name is MEEEEEEEEme.

The lovely Alphabeter has tagged me.

The FOUR Meme
Four jobs you have had in your life:
Winn-Dixie checker
English professor
Computer-lab attendant
Dancer

Four movies you watch over and over:
I think I did this one already (see Seven Things Meme for seven of them, then subtract three)

Four places you've lived:
Tallahassee
Sylacauga
Carrboro
Farmville

Four Shows you love to watch:
ummmm, I don't watch t.v. anymore. We just rent DVDs when we want to go back and see a series.
So, 4 shows I watch on DVD are
Arrested Development
The Office
Sex and the City
and that was three

Four places you've been on vacation:
The Swag
The Homestead
The Beaver Creek
The London

Four of your favourite foods:
[Did a Canadian write this meme?]
Dunkin Donut's Boston Creme donut
waffles with butter and maple syrup (does that count as three?)
my mother's meatless moussaka
black bean taco salad

Four places you'd rather be right now:
somewhere WARMer
my local Brew-Ha-Ha
I honestly can't think of anywhere else I'd rather be, though. I'm pretty content right here at the kitchen table.

Four sites I visit daily:
Bloglines for my list of updated blogs
weather.com
cnn.com
sitemeter.com, to see who has visited

Four bloggers you are tagging:
this is always a tough one because we are all so incestuous.
So, if you WANT to be tagged for this meme, consider yourself SO!

Four sheep breeds you could recognise in a field:
[Okay, so maybe the meme-writer is British. Scottish?]
black, brown, white, and white with black faces?

Four people you'd really like to meet (who are alive) and what you would ask them:
Thich Nhat Hanh - Will you adopt me?
Elizabeth George - How the h*ll do you write such long yet compelling books?
Nicole Kidman - C'mon. Lenny Kravitz??? WTHWYT?
Paul Farmer - Can I just tag along for a little while and absorb some of your superhumanness?

Hello, Mary Louisa!

I wandered in from Alphabeters. I used to be a big dollar stretcher fan. Even contributed an article or idea or something once. I forget what.

I'd forgotten about it. I'm going back to it.

Good morning. I watch weather.com too. That's about the extent of my TV. Just goes to show how far out of the loop I spin.

A former dancer that likes Sex in the City...let me visualize...yep, got it. Which character are you most like?

M.G.--hello to you too! Thank you for visiting. I am pathologically frugal (esp. now that we're down to one paycheck), and think The Dollar Stretcher is the greatest thing since sliced bread. I have a suspicion I am a reincarnated Depression housewife.

EIJ, loop? There's a loop we're supposed to spin in? ;)

RJ, I'm not much like any of the characters, but if I had to pick one, it'd probably be Carrie. I screw up sometimes, but I have a good heart, I like to think. (I certainly don't DRESS like her, though.)

Extreme frugality is what got my husband and I through the early days of intense poverty. We still carry a lot of the habits with us. I used to be a fan of the Tightwad lady, Amy...I forget her name, now.

Have you ever read 'Your Money or Your Life' by Joe Dominguez (not that new one by Neil Cavuto)? Also recommended, 'The Millionaire Next Door'.

Pleased to meet you. Stop over my way sometime. We keep the coffee hot and the donuts fresh.

M.G., I read YMorYL years ago and loved it. I share the book's philosophy. I've read parts of TMND, too. They are both good. And, yes, I used to read those Tightwad Gazettes, mostly for the shock value! I would never shop for outdated groceries, but it was fun to read about someone who would. ;)

Anne, Nicole also needs to die her hair back to its natural red color. About the ghastly blond shade, I would ask her again, "WTHWYT?"

Thank you for calling me lovely.

Now let me dispel that.

Incest is best in the family. Some of the most interesting memes come from people adding to things as they pass in and out of the oddest overlapping social circles.
