Today Stuff

Well, my size 12 jeans continue to grow larger; even freshly pulled from the dryer they are now loose. I am forever pulling them up, which is a happy thing round here. Soon, I'll need to shell out the dough for some that fit, because my size 10s, who have been patiently waiting in the drawer for over a year, are hopelessly out of style in that straight-legged sort of way. Thankfully, they aren't as bad as "Mom Jeans", and although I can get them on at the moment, they look like the spray-on designer jeans we used to wear in the late seventies and early eighties. Not for me, thank you. I just measured myself and find that I've lost 1/2" in the waist and 3/4" in the hips since May. Slow and steady feeds my ego.

On a more serious note: Latoyia Figueroa is still missing. Here's the current info.

Hey thanks for giving attention to that girl! Cool. If the New Media doesn't do it, few others will.

Oh and about the jeans. Baggy is street! You can go on down to South Street in Philly and hang with my crowd - you'd fit right in!

I spent some time in coal country, that's how I know. ;)

I recently changed my eating habits and lost three sizes in a few months. Those baggy jeans feel great, don't they?

Ryan - I'm afraid a 40yo mother of two wouldn't quite fit in with the South St. crowd, baggy jeans or no. LOL

Rob - welcome to my blog! Yep, it's a nice sense of accomplishment to see myself shrinking back toward my pre-pregnancy size. As a matter of fact, I'll be baggy-no-more in about a week: just this very day I ordered myself up some stylish jeans in a lower size.

I wish I had pregnancy as an excuse...

I'm a fat tub of goo.

Nice blog, by the way. I like Italian Greyhounds.

Thanks Paul. I've enjoyed reading yours this evening. IGs sure are pretty, but they have insanely annoying habits even apart from the omnivore characteristic.

Paul, here's a trick. Limit yourself to 1800 calories a day. I know that sounds like you won't be able to eat anything, but here's how I work it. I have something small like yogurt or oatmeal for breakfast, a couple sandwhiches for lunch, fruit for snacks, then for dinner I basically eat whatever I want.

I don't go overboard with the pizza or anything, but I DO have pizza or steak or mash potatoes and gravy -- anything I want, really. And I rarely go over the 1800 calories. I've lost over forty pounds that way. And it was relatively easy.
